How voting works

Voting is open to all readers and boating enthusiasts. To be counted, voters must choose one boat in each of the four main categories. The voting period closes soon on April 20, 2025, and the winners will be revealed on April 23 during the International Multihull Show.

Votes aren’t just about bragging rights—prizes are up for grabs too. All valid voters will be entered into a draw to win a WRX Electric “Pirates Shadow” watch by Ralf Tech worth €2,600, along with a range of other exclusive prizes.

Two new jury categories

This year introduces two additional award categories, though they are not open to public voting:

  • “IMS Premiere”, selected by the Multihulls World and Multicoques Mag jury.
  • “Capt’n Boat”, determined by professional skippers through the Capt’n Boat platform.

Whether you’re passionate about sustainable design, bluewater cruising, or pure sailing performance, there’s a multihull in the running that deserves your vote. Head over to multihulloftheyear.com, check out the nominees, and make your picks before April 20.
