Hanse has unveiled the 360 Sport Talent (ST), a performance-focused evolution of the award-winning Hanse 360, with its world premiere set for 23–25 May 2025 at the Ancora Yacht Festival in Germany. Developed in collaboration with Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, the Hanse 360 ST pushes the boundaries of what a 36-foot cruiser can achieve—delivering up to 10% more sailing performance without compromising comfort or ease of use.
For New Zealand sailors who want to go fast without giving up the pleasures of coastal or extended cruising, the 360 ST offers a compelling package. With upgrades across the board—from rig and keel to deck layout and electronics—this yacht speaks to performance-minded owners who still want a boat that feels elegant and liveable.

The ST variant builds on the solid bones of the standard Hanse 360 but adds a suite of performance upgrades that reposition the yacht in the sport-cruiser category. A taller mast, more sail area, and a deeper T-keel all contribute to a noticeably livelier feel under sail. In light and moderate winds, the extra sail power translates into better responsiveness, more speed, and higher pointing ability upwind.
The inclusion of a carbon bowsprit and matte-black racing accents nods to the boat’s sportier ambitions. A racing-style cockpit layout and flush-mounted mainsheet traveller provide the skipper with easy access and greater sail control—features rarely found in this size range without stepping into full racing territory.
Sailors who value precise trim control will appreciate the cockpit-adjustable genoa track system, which reduces sheet angles and allows for fine tuning of the overlapping genoa. The rudder and keel combination—featuring a stainless-steel shaft and hydrodynamically refined foil—delivers stability and grip at speed while keeping the helm light and responsive.
Winches are another area of attention. Lewmar EVO Race 45ST winches are standard for both primary and secondary trimming stations, with optional electric drive available on the primaries. High pedestals improve the entry angle for genoa sheets, reducing friction and making it easier to achieve an ideal sail shape.
One of the standout additions is the electric Code 0 furler. With the CXe two-speed system, sailors can deploy or stow the sail in just 10 seconds—no winching, no drama. Combined with a furling jib and an optional gennaker, the 360 ST is geared for a wide range of sailing angles and conditions, making it equally suitable for a club race series or a fast passage to Great Barrier.
The Alpha Series navigation displays, mast-mounted and touch-operated, provide clear, customisable data visible to the entire cockpit crew. Designed with input from active sailors, the instruments feature 3D motion sensing, Smart Wind correction for mast bend and sail upwash, and full integration with Raymarine Axiom systems at the helm.
Despite its performance tweaks, the 360 ST doesn’t forget its cruising DNA. Inside, the yacht is available in two- or three-cabin layouts, with the same number of heads. The interior finish reflects a modern yet sporty design language, using premium materials and clean lines that match the yacht’s exterior aesthetic.
Hanse has also made structural improvements below the waterline. The GRP lamination plan has been reworked to reduce weight in key areas, using lower-density materials and updated bonding methods. These refinements help keep weight down without compromising strength, contributing to the improved performance metrics.
For Kiwi sailors interested in this new release, Windcraft Yachts is the local dealer. With Hanse’s global reputation for quality and Windcraft’s established presence in New Zealand, potential buyers will have access to full support and after-sales service.
The Hanse 360 ST is designed for sailors who want to go faster, point higher, and handle their boat with fingertip control—all without losing the comforts of a serious cruiser. It’s fast, well-appointed, and versatile. With its official launch just around the corner, it’s set to appeal to a broad spectrum of owners—from competitive club racers to performance cruisers looking to elevate their time on the water.
