The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) 2025, running from 22–25 May on Queensland’s Gold Coast, is shaping up to be a blockbuster, with over 330 exhibitors and more than 760 boats on display. While global marine giants dominate the headlines, a select group of New Zealand boatbuilders are heading across the Tasman to showcase their craft – and they’re bringing plenty of Kiwi innovation with them. From custom catamarans and rugged hard tenders to offshore-capable cruisers and premium alloy trailer boats, the New Zealand contingent is a strong one.
Here’s a look at the Kiwi-built boats and brands representing Aotearoa at SCIBS 2025.

These aren’t your average tenders. Every OC Tender features refined hull lines, lightweight construction, and excellent fuel efficiency – making them perfect for offshore passage-makers looking to reduce weight without sacrificing performance or safety. The design ethos revolves around seaworthiness, clean aesthetics, and durability in challenging marine environments.
Built in New Zealand to high-quality standards, the OC Tender range is well-known among long-range cruisers for its practicality and clean, refined lines. With customisation available and delivery direct to clients, the company’s value proposition is all about quality, service and purpose-built functionality.

The Legend 2700 is expected to blend the rugged offshore capabilities of the 2800 with the user-friendly, lifestyle-oriented features of the 2500. Like all models in the range, it will feature a fully enclosed hardtop, ensuring comfort and protection in all weather conditions.
Built for both serious anglers and leisure boaters, the new 2700 continues Rayglass’s reputation for quality hull design and smart ergonomics. Its launch is keenly anticipated by New Zealand’s boating community.

Rayglass has long been known for high-end finishes, solid construction and clever layouts, and the 3000 is no exception. The model is expected to draw strong interest at SCIBS as an ideal all-rounder for both Kiwi and Aussie conditions.

White Pointer Boats
Location: SLF 3.8
Gisborne-based White Pointer Boats is well known for building serious alloy trailer boats with a reputation for structural strength and offshore capability. With over 30 years in the game, they’ve carved out a loyal customer base among dedicated fishers and adventurers who prioritise safety, reliability and toughness.
Every White Pointer boat is built to a rigorous standard. Each hull is pre-fit before painting — all fittings are installed, tested, then removed — preventing corrosion and ensuring precise, clean finishes. Their CAD-designed compound-curve hulls and full internal/external welds are built to handle punishment while still delivering a soft, dry ride.
At this year’s SCIBS, White Pointer is showcasing the 840 Pro Sportsman — an 8.4m sport fishing boat designed for versatility and offshore performance. Its complex V-hull and advanced chine design ensure a smooth ride in rough water. Features include a walkaround engine box and a recessed stern cavity to reduce line snags when fighting big fish. It’s available open or enclosed, with room for top-spec electronics and fishing gear.

Also on offer is an 800SC, uniquely sold without engine or electronics for custom rigging. White Pointer boats come with a 10-year hull warranty and are designed for boaters who want no-compromise performance and durability in harsh conditions.
