Ross Brownlie has founded Saltstate NZ to offer SPOC to boat owners

Boat owners who want their vessel kept in good order, without juggling a list of different contractors, now have a new option. Saltstate NZ, founded by Auckland boat builder Ross Brownlie, brings cleaning, commissioning, deliveries, refit support and onboard installations together under one contact point.

Brownlie’s background spans a wide range of practical marine work in New Zealand and overseas. He has previously served as Maintenance Manager at Gulf Harbour Marina and as New Zealand service manager for The Yacht Sales Co. That experience shapes Saltstate’s focus on clear communication and solid workmanship. The service includes routine checks, electrical upgrades, stereo and instrument installs, and small custom jobs for owners who want sensible improvements done properly.

Saltstate – providing a single point of contact to know everything about your boat.

The idea is simple. One person knows the boat, keeps track of what needs doing and makes sure each job is carried out to a tidy standard. For owners with limited time, the convenience of having someone reliable oversee the boat is a genuine benefit.

Away from work, Brownlie spends much of his time sailing the Hauraki Gulf with his wife and daughters, or kitesurfing, or building things in his home workshop.

For more information or a straightforward chat about your boat, contact Ross Brownlie on 021 034 6466 or saltstatenz@outlook.com, or visit saltstatenz.co.nz.
