Premieres, and Kiwi debuts at the 2026 Auckland Boat Show

The Auckland Boat Show holds the proud distinction of being the southernmost on water boat show in the world. Celebrating its 25th anniversary from 5 to 8 March 2026, the show brings together more than 150 exhibitors and over 200 boats on and off the water.

This year, more new releases and New Zealand premieres will be unveiled across the marina and hardstand.

If you want to see where boating in New Zealand is heading, start here.

13.8m Elite Kaeā

Location: Marina, M28

The 13.8m Elite Kaeā is one of the true headline acts. Designed by Bill Upfold and built by Tauranga based Marra Marine, this is the yard’s first new build.

The brief was uncompromising. A capable commuter between Wellington and Picton. Twenty nautical miles across Cook Strait, where tide and southern weather rarely offer favours. Efficiency was important, but seakeeping came first. The result is a modern classic with genuine offshore credibility and enough comfort for extended stays in the Marlborough Sounds.

Elite AT43 by Allan Tongs Boatbuilders

Location: Marina, M26

Also from the desk of Bill Upfold, the updated Elite AT43 continues to build momentum in the local market. Crafted by Allan Tongs Boatbuilders, the 43 foot launch reflects how many Kiwis actually use their boats.

Fishing, diving, cruising the coast. The AT43 blends practicality with refined finishing in a way that feels natural rather than forced. With ten launched and more under construction, this is a proven platform rather than a concept.

This is not a crossover with rod holders added as an afterthought. The 770 is built first as a fishing platform, with genuine shelter and overnight capability layered in. Built in Whakatāne, it reflects years of owner feedback from those wanting to push further offshore and stay longer, without sacrificing the Surtees ride and balance.

Rayglass 2400 hull preview

Location: Marina, M63

Rayglass will reveal the all new 2400 hull, offering an early look at a model years in development. Early previews of new hull forms are rare, and expectations will be high given Rayglass’ reputation for ride and build quality.

Rayglass will also be showcasing their Rayglass 2700 and Rayglass 3000, alongside RAM New Zealand.

Location: Marina, M58

The Fin Chaser 800HTA Hard Top Walkaround Amphibious targets serious offshore performance combined with multi role flexibility. Powered by Mercury’s 425hp V10 Verado, it centres around a true walkaround layout that maintains cabin width, bunk space and headroom.

Forward, a 6m² platform offers genuine working and lounging space, while the overnight layout supports extended missions. This is amphibious thinking applied to practical offshore use.
