The Nautical Group completes sale of Azimut Grande 27 Metre

New Zealand-based brokerage represents buyer in acquisition of 2020 Azimut Grande 27M, with the yacht set for private cruising in the south of France.

The Nautical Group (TNG) has completed the sale of a 2020 Azimut Grande 27 Metre motor yacht on behalf of the buyer. The transaction, which concluded on 10 March 2026, was managed end-to-end by TNG Managing Director James Dalzell, who represented the buyer throughout the acquisition process. The last asking price was €4,700,000 excluding VAT.

The Grande 27 Metre is one of the most popular models in Azimut’s Grande range. At 26.78 metres, her widebody design accommodates five guest cabins, with the full-beam owner’s suite located on the main deck and a stern tender garage. The combination of a main-deck master and tender garage is rare at this size, and a defining feature of the 27M’s layout. Designed by Stefano Righini with interiors by Achille Salvagni, the yacht uses carbon fibre construction throughout the superstructure to keep weight low and maximise onboard volume.

TNG managed the full scope of the acquisition on behalf of the buyer, including sourcing the vessel, coordinating independent surveys, advising on tax structuring, company registration, vessel flagging, and appointing legal representation. Following the survey and a successful outcome on all checks, TNG also oversaw the complete fit-out of the yacht prior to handover, stocking everything from linens and tableware to cleaning supplies and personal items, so the new owners could step aboard on delivery day and cruise immediately.

“When our clients came to us with what they wanted in a boat, we used our contacts to find the right one,” said James Dalzell, Managing Director of The Nautical Group. “From surveys and legal advice through to flagging and company setup, we handled the entire process. But what really set this apart was the fit-out. We stocked and prepared the yacht so that on handover day, the owners turned the key and went. No waiting, no chasing suppliers. That’s what working with a dedicated buyer’s agent looks like.”

As a qualified captain with hands-on experience skippering vessels of this size, James also conducted a familiarisation trip for the new owners at no additional charge. The trip served as both an orientation for the owners and a final quality check, allowing James to verify that all survey-related items had been addressed and that the yacht met TNG’s delivery standard.

The new owners plan to cruise privately in the south of France and wider Mediterranean for the first year or two, with the possibility of making the yacht available for charter thereafter.
