Two new US dealers and two new Australian dealers have signed on with Sealegs International, the Auckland-built amphibious boat manufacturer.

Scott Dyer’s Massachusetts-based LC8 Marine takes on authorised representation for the US Eastern Seaboard. On the opposite side of the country, Anacortes, Washington operation Inside Passage Yacht Sales becomes exclusive dealer for Washington State and Alaska.

Western Australia and the rest of the country now have separate dealers under the Sealegs banner. Motor Yachts Australasia, based in North Fremantle, covers Western Australia, marking the first time the country has had full dealer coverage. The remaining territory goes to Gold Coast-based LegASea, whose team, Michael Rigby, Natalia Weston and Robert Weston, has represented Sealegs in Australia since not long after the company began production in Auckland.

Salterns Brokerage in the UK and dealers in France round out the wider international network these four new appointments are joining.

Auckland remains the production base for every Sealegs craft. Inventor Maurice Bryham developed the amphibious boat and co-founded Sealegs International with David McKee Wright; production started in 2005.
