Wayfinder Yachts, the authorised New Zealand dealer for leading European yacht brands Hanse, Moody, Dehler, Sealine and Fjord, is now open for business from new premises in Westhaven, Auckland, at the heart of the New Zealand boating community.
For Wayfinder Yachts principal Dominic Lowe being headquartered in Westhaven, home to the southern hemisphere’s largest marina, is very important: “To do these prestigious brands justice, I wanted to represent them in the best way possible, so I felt strongly we had to be based in Westhaven alongside all the other major players on the boating scene.”
The new premises are situated alongside the iconic Sails restaurant and comprise a bright, modern sales and service support office with storage and a workshop space behind. Wayfinder Yachts also has access to several sales and service berths inside Westhaven marina handy to the office. Lowe is supported by his wife Jo, co-director in Wayfinder Yachts, with help from their daughter Annabelle.
After-sales support is a huge part of the business, says Lowe. His extensive experience working in the marine industry, along with the relationships and good will he has built, means Wayfinder Yachts can tap into an extensive network of marine experts and tradespeople for its support services. Wayfinder does have an experienced and dedicated service support manager who can be reached at the email address service@wayfinderyachts.co.nz
While the new premises have only recently officially opened, marked by new signage over the door, the Wayfinder Yachts team has been busy with service support and reconnecting with owners of the brands they represent.

At the recent Auckland Boat Show, Lowe met lots of Hanse owners, as well as owners of other Wayfinder brands, excited to hear of his plans to reinstate owner functions and events – fun gatherings that bring like-minded people together and are sure to be well received.
Wayfinder Yachts shares its new premises with European Marine, the New Zealand dealer for Sarjo and Saga motor yachts. Lowe shares the office with European Marine’s Leighton Henshaw, the pair also working together for their mutual benefit.
Lowe will be at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show May, 21-24, helping Performance Cruising Yachts, the Australian Hanse and Sealine dealer, and fielding any enquiries from New Zealand customers.
In the meantime, Lowe would like to encourage any existing Hanse, Moody, Dehler, Sealine and Fjord owners visiting Westhaven to drop in and say hello. You can Wayfinder Yachts’ new sales and after-sales service office at 103-113 Westhaven Drive, Westhaven Marina.
