Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders recently launched its 75th custom build, the Catalyst 50 Django Shade. Successful sea trials have been completed and shipping was scheduled for mid-June.
LSB has been experiencing increasing demand for the Catalyst range as the market becomes more aware of the versatile nature of this high performance platform. 25 Catalysts have been built to date, with almost no two the same. The design is able to be heavily customised to suit different roles, with many serving as superyacht and resort tenders, pleasure cruisers and weekenders, as well as America’s Cup and big boat race campaign chase boats.
The design has a strong reputation for impressive seakeeping, able to be driven hard in adverse conditions,
and is offshore capable, as proved by the Catalyst 45 Render making the crossing from Auckland to Fiji and back under her own steam, averaging 28 knots.
