The United States boatbuilder Wellcraft has pulled the covers off two new 33-footers, and they’re built to push the segment hard. The Wellcraft 33 T-Top and Wellcraft 33 Speedster were unveiled from Fort Lauderdale on 16 July 2026, following on from the brand’s Wellcraft 28. Both models share a twin-stepped hull developed with naval architecture firm Navia Design, engineered to hold a stable, controlled ride at speeds beyond 50 knots. Power comes from single or twin Mercury V8 or V10 outboards, with combined output running from 350HP up to 700HP depending on configuration.
At 10.34 metres overall and 3.17 metres in beam, the hull carries a light weight of around 3,900kg. She sleeps two. The aft cockpit is where the two boats really set themselves apart from a standard 33-footer. Three module options are on offer: a Lounge layout as standard, an optional Relax setup built around a three-person sunbed and U-shaped dining area, and, on the T-Top only, a Barracuda fishing package with five rod holders, a 150-litre fish box, and a 120-litre livewell. Wellcraft is building all of it using its own W.I.S.E. infusion and injection construction method, aimed at a stiffer, lighter hull with less resin waste.
The T-Top gets its World Premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, running 8 to 13 September 2026. Wellcraft has been building boats since the 1950s and joined the Beneteau Group in 2014.
