Skipperi New Zealand’s mother company in Finland is undergoing an acquisition and in that context the New Zealand subsidiary, Skipperi NZ Ltd, has been sold to kiwi owners, Windscreamer Investments.

Skipperi NZ has provided a cost effective boating solution for many Aucklanders since 2021 and while it continues to grow from strength to strength, acquisition by the local management team (and investors) will positively impact both the business and the service provided.  The change of ownership ensures continued access to the fleet across the three locations – Gulf Harbour, Westhaven, and Half Moon Bay.

Windscreamer Investments and its partnership with Marine Concierge and the Skipperi NZ Management team will continue to enhance the services, locations and experiences offered.

Eric Haagh, COO of Skipperi NZ comments, “The team has been the longstanding operator of Skipperi NZ, and this means there is a seamless transition for all those involved.  Contracts, memberships, and access in New Zealand remains unchanged. The day-to-day operations, and the high level of service and support people have come to expect will continue as usual. We value our customers, the safety of our service and our dedication to safe boating in New Zealand.”

Unlimited boating is at your fingertips without the burden of maintenance, mooring and  equipment.  Membership not only gives you full access to a fleet of modern Haines Hunter boats from the three locations – it also includes a Coastguard online day skipper course and 3.5 hours of practical training on the water which means no prior experience is needed. The education component of a Skipperi NZ subscription is the real game changer.  Every member hits the water fully qualified and trained making it safer for everyone.

A simple booking and check in, check out process through the Skipperi app, no requirement to deal with a trailer or storage, the boat is ready for you on arrival so you get to focus on making memories with in the biggest playground we have – the sea!  Member feedback has been that this is the best option to continue boating or gain practical experience without making the big financial commitment to boat ownership.

With week day or full week subscriptions available, hassle free boating awaits!
