Sealegs International has appointed Jack Ewen as its new Global Sales Director — a familiar face returning to lead the company’s global sales strategy at a time of renewed momentum for the amphibious boat innovator.

Jack is no stranger to Sealegs. He previously held senior roles within the company’s sales team, and his return comes with a wealth of marine industry experience and a strong track record in commercial leadership across international markets.

Now based in Auckland, Jack’s hands-on knowledge of the Sealegs product line is backed by broader experience in strategic sales growth and distribution development. In recent years, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Smuggler Marine and held director-level positions with luxury amphibious craft builder Iguana Yachts. With a global view of marine sales, product positioning, and dealer development, he’s ideally placed to strengthen Sealegs’ international footprint.

“I’m genuinely excited to pick up where I left off and work alongside the team to grow the Sealegs brand,” says Jack.
“By leveraging our innovative products and strong customer relationships, I look forward to helping Sealegs increase its global market presence.”

Sealegs CEO David McKee Wright says Jack’s appointment reflects a renewed emphasis on long-term growth.

“Jack understands the Sealegs DNA and knows what it takes to build strong commercial relationships in this industry,” McKee Wright says.
“His leadership will be key as we expand our global dealer network and pursue new opportunities in both recreational and commercial markets.”

Jack’s focus will include strengthening Sealegs’ partner support framework, growing international sales channels, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all markets. His appointment also aligns with several new product and capability developments planned for release over the coming year.

As Sealegs continues to pioneer in the amphibious sector — with thousands of craft delivered to customers in over 50 countries — the company’s leadership team sees this as a defining moment for global reach.

Jack’s return is not just a homecoming — it’s a signal that Sealegs is doubling down on its strengths and preparing to lead the next wave of growth in marine innovation.
