The 2025 PIC Coastal Classic burst into life under perfect spring skies, as hundreds of sails filled across the Waitematā. From the early warning signals to the final start at 10 a.m., the harbour came alive with colour and energy. Divisions 4, 5, 8 and Solo led the charge, followed by the bigger fleets of Divisions 2, 3, and finally the heavy hitters in Divisions 1, 6, and 7. From ExMachina to Lucky, every crew fought for clear air and clean starts. The PIC Coastal Classic media team captured it all from the water. Here’s how New Zealand’s great race north began.
