Abu Dhabi weather report for SailGP Finale day 2

Sunday brings another hot, settled day in Abu Dhabi, almost a repeat of Saturday. Skies stay clear through the morning and afternoon, and there’s no sign of rain. A light haze may creep in later, but visibility on the water remains good.

Temperatures rise quickly after first light. Expect 26–28°C mid-morning, climbing to around 30–31°C during the afternoon. With humidity building to 60–70 percent, it will feel warmer on deck and in the chase boats. Crews will need to manage heat as much as anything happening on the racecourse.

The real story is the wind, or lack of it. Through the middle of the day the breeze struggles to find its feet, sitting in the 4–7 knot range at best. Long lulls are likely inside the harbour, with tiny patches of pressure drifting through from the north or northwest. These won’t stay long, so keeping the boat moving will be a challenge. Foiling will be possible only in short bursts, if at all.

Sea conditions stay flat, disturbed only by harbour traffic and the odd wake.

In short, it’s shaping up to be another warm, humid, and very light-air day in Abu Dhabi — the kind of weather that rewards patience, tidy handling, and a bit of luck with the breeze.
