2012 Oceanic 52 | Shaman Shaman is a professionally refurbished and reimagined custom performance cruising catamaran. She is one of the renowned Oceanic class configured as a three-cabin owner’s version similar to a larger Mumby sailing cat. Originally completed in 2012, Shaman had very little use by her original owner.

Her current owner purchased her recently and spent a significant sum adding 4600 watts of solar with over 2000 amp hours of Lithiums and reconfigured the whole saloon to be more family friendly.  Four opening saloon windows now supply cool natural ventilation at anchor, and with so much electrical energy on tap, she also comes with induction cooking, an electric oven, microwave and air conditioning. With refurbished Yanmar 54hp diesels and sail drives, new rigging, an additional extensive aft dingy platform added for a larger RIB and dive bottle storage, Shaman is a fantastic off-grid exploration cat.

With most of the boat resprayed inside and out, she present as new. The port hull features a king-sized berth with a full head aft, plus a fridge in case one gets thirsty in the night and generous walk-in robe. In the starboard hull is another king-sized berth with its own ensuite, as well as a very spacious double aft cabin.

Between the two is ample storage for extended trans-Oceanic cruising. Built from pre-cut Australian marine-grade aluminium to exacting Lloyds specs, Shaman will outsail any of the ‘˜cataminiums’ currently on the market and be a lot easier to maintain with simpler systems and superb access. Two huge bow volumes can be converted to ensuites or cabins for crew etc, or kept as storage for surfboards, SUPs or other leisure craft.

To date, five of these great cats have been built with her four sisterships in the charter market doing well, proving this design has a strong track record of reliability. Shaman is available to view, just an hour’s drive from Phuket International airport in Thailand. Enquire about this yacht
