Grand Banks presents the custom-built GB54 EU Edition at boot Düsseldorf 2026

Grand Banks Yachts will present a custom-built Grand Banks 54 EU Edition at boot Düsseldorf from 17 to 25 January 2026, offering European buyers the opportunity to step aboard a long range cruiser shaped specifically for Mediterranean and Northern European waters.

Developed jointly by the shipyard and the Grand Banks European team, the GB54 EU Edition reflects seven decades of evolution as the brand approaches its 70th anniversary. It is a modern expression of a design philosophy that prioritises efficiency, seakeeping and real world cruising comfort over fleeting trends.

The EU Edition features a contemporary European interior, with bright teak joinery, expansive windows and strong natural light throughout. The main deck saloon integrates lounge, dining area and interior helm, flowing directly into an EU style galley. Electrical blinds, full air conditioning and central heating support comfortable year round cruising. Below deck, a three cabin layout includes a full beam master with en suite, a forward VIP and a twin guest cabin, well suited to extended stays aboard.

Outdoor living is equally considered. Aft, a back facing cockpit sofa and double transom doors open onto an enlarged bathing platform, while a passerelle and cockpit capstans simplify stern to mooring in Mediterranean ports.

This confidence is not new. Boating New Zealand reviewed an earlier European specification Grand Banks 54 in 2014, noting its quiet running, long range capability and ease of handling. More than a decade on, the EU Edition demonstrates how that proven platform has been carefully refined rather than reinvented.

Powered by twin Volvo D13 900 hp engines and Grand Banks’ V Warp hull, the GB54 delivers efficient cruising around 20 knots with excellent stability and reduced fuel consumption.

“As we approach our 70th anniversary, the GB54 reflects what our owners value most,” said Mark Richards. “Comfort, efficiency and the freedom to travel farther with confidence.”
