Paul Loiseau (Région Bretagne – CMB Espoir) crossed the finish line in Vigo in 7th place on Thursday at 08:19:52 local time, taking top rookie honours in the process — just 1 hour 28 minutes and 16 seconds behind leg winner Tom Dolan (Kingspan).
The French skipper clocked 3 days, 21 hours, 49 minutes and 52 seconds to complete the opening leg of the 57th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec. The theoretical course distance was 610 nautical miles, though Loiseau’s actual track came to 662.67 nautical miles, which he covered at an average speed of 7.06 knots.
