Auckland power and watermaker specialist Enertec Marine has added the Aqua Nautica range to its catalogue, giving New Zealand boaties a new energy-efficient desalination option. The same range is rolling out across Australia through Fischer Panda Australia, the cross-Tasman partnership Enertec set up last year.
The range covers three capacities. The entry unit produces 30 litres of fresh water an hour, the mid-size unit is badged “60” but is actually rated at 65 litres an hour under manufacturer testing, and the flagship tops out at 110 litres an hour. Every model runs on 12V or 24V DC and uses energy recovery technology to keep the power draw down, from 11 amps at 12V for the smallest unit up to 40 amps at 12V for the biggest. Salt rejection sits at a minimum of 99.5 per cent, with product water tested under 500ppm TDS.
Buyers get two control options. The PRO models keep things simple with push-button operation and an integrated fresh water flush. The Touch PRO versions step that up with a full-colour touchscreen, programmable flushing, system monitoring and operating timers. Enertec says the range suits recreational and commercial vessels alike.
Aqua Nautica isn’t replacing anything in Enertec’s line-up, the company has long carried Spectra watermakers too, so this gives Kiwi boaties a second DC-powered option at what Enertec describes as a competitive price point.
It’s also the second product family to follow the same path across the Tasman. Enertec used the newly formed Fischer Panda Australia to take its NZ-made Juice lithium-ion batteries and Fischer Panda generators into the Australian market in 2025. Watermakers now join that same distribution network, putting the same product range in front of boaties on both sides of the ditch.
