SMARTGYRO LAUNCHES EXPANDED RANGE

ITALIAN GYROSCOPIC STABILISATION COMPANY Smartgyro will launch its expanded range of advanced SG units to the European and US markets at boat shows this year.

Smartgyro units are designed to reduce roll in power launches from 13.7m (45 feet) LOA and upwards. This range extensions brings the roll reduction and design benefits of the modular Smartgyro solution to more vessel sizes and boat owners.

Smartgyro stabilisers can be assembled directly inside the boat and serviced while onboard. This  minimises maintenance time and creates new design opportunities for builders. They can be employed in both new builds and refits.

Shipping of the current models – the SG40, for boats from 50ft to 60ft, and the SG80, for vessels up to 80ft – is already underway to dealers and customers. The new SG20 has been developed for the mid-size sector, opening up opportunities for owners of smaller boats from 45ft to 55ft. The SG10, for smaller boats from 10.6m (35ft) is coming soon.

Smartgyro is backed by strategic partner YANMAR and its companies, including Vetus, Maxwell and Flexofold.
