The SailGP schedule for 2026 has just dropped, and New Zealand appears to be out.
While New Zealand had been on the SailGP map in the past few year with Christchurch and then in 2025 in Auckland, where it was generally agreed, the world-wide SailGP community saw an amazing event - the new schedule replaces New Zealand with Perth.
The SailGP release does note that this is not the final schedule - but looking at the dates, I cannot see where Auckland could fit - I hope I am wrong!
