DOCKING MADE EASIER: Absolute Yachts in Italy has become the first shipyard to provide Volvo Penta’s new Assisted Docking system across its entire range. It also features IPS (Inboard Performance System) engines on all its boats,
Absolute and Volvo Penta collaborated to offer boat owners the Assisted Docking System, the latest innovation from the Swedish engine manufacturer.
Absolute is the only shipyard in the world currently offering the new system on its entire range of boats, from 47 to 73 feet, for Navetta, Fly and Coupé models.
Volvo Penta Assisted Docking was created to make docking easier and safer, regardless of environmental conditions or the owner’s experience. Featuring innovative software that coordinates engine electronics, positioning, IPS propulsion and sensors, the system interprets and automates the skipper’s intentions, automatically, compensating for dynamic variables such as wind and current, to ensure perfect docking.
The Assisted Docking System on Absolute boats will have global coverage, reaching Auckland with the Absolute Navetta 58 and Fort Lauderdale with Absolute Navetta 73.
Already available for boats with IPS 10, Volvo Penta and Absolute are currently testing the system on boats with IPS15 and IPS30.
