Maritimo has appointed Primus Marine as its authorised dealer for Southeast Asia, marking a strategic move to strengthen the Australian luxury motor yacht builder’s presence across Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

Australian luxury motor yacht builder Maritimo has expanded its Asian footprint by appointing Primus Marine as its regional dealer across Southeast Asia, with coverage of Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. The move represents the company’s fourth dealership location in Asia, joining existing operations in Japan.

The partnership makes strategic sense for both parties. Primus Marine, based in Thailand with operations in Phuket and Pattaya, has already earned recognition as Robb Report Thailand’s Best Yacht Dealer in 2025 and is actively expanding into Singapore and Malaysia. For Maritimo, the appointment taps into a growing market of experienced owners in Southeast Asia seeking serious offshore cruising capability rather than weekend getaway boats.

“We’ve seen consistent enquiry from across the region in recent years, particularly from Thailand, and it was important for us to align with a partner who understands this,” said Derrick Nowak, Maritimo’s Global Business Development Manager. “Southeast Asia is an important growth market, and what we’re seeing is owners wanting to travel further, stay longer and reach parts of the region that many boats simply aren’t designed for.”

That appeal sits at Maritimo’s core. Founded by Australian boatbuilder Bill Barry-Cotter in 2003, the company has built its reputation on engineering-led, shaft-drive motor yachts designed for genuine extended cruising. Reliability, range and practical onboard living define the brand, rather than flash or day-tripper credentials. Southeast Asian waters, with their demanding conditions and extended cruising opportunities, suit that philosophy well.

Primus Marine will represent Maritimo’s complete range, including the M-Series Flybridge, S-Series Sedan and Offshore Series models. The partnership will also support Maritimo’s presence at the Singapore Yacht Festival 2026.

“We see strong potential in Southeast Asia, where cruising conditions align closely with what Maritimo delivers,” said Howard Prime, CEO and Founder of Primus Marine. “We are proud to represent the brand and look forward to building the market across the region.”
