Putting on a stunning display throughout the leg from Perros-Guirec to Vigo, Irish sailor Tom Dolan on Kingspan has claimed victory in the opening stage of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec with a corrected time of 3 days, 20 hours, 38 minutes and 12 seconds. Dolan is back on the winner’s podium—and what a way to announce his return.

After playing a key role in this opening leg, the Kingspan skipper has reclaimed the taste of victory. In the pre-dawn light, just off the Spanish coast, Dolan crossed the finish line near Cape Finisterre. Last year, the 2024 winner was forced to retire from this very same finish in Vigo due to a wrist injury. This time, he’s taken a well-deserved revenge.
