Yamaha Motor New Zealand marked Yamaha Day by bringing staff, partners and volunteers together on Rotoroa Island for a hands-on conservation project. Participants worked alongside the Rotoroa Island Trust, helping with track maintenance, vegetation clearing and pest plant control to support the island’s ongoing environmental restoration.
The event reflected this year’s Yamaha Day theme, “Own the Moment, Take Action,” while giving participants the opportunity to learn about Rotoroa Island’s transformation into a leading conservation sanctuary.

Alan Petrie, Senior Manager at Yamaha Motor New Zealand, said Yamaha Day provides an opportunity for the team to give back to the community, work together and support meaningful environmental projects.

Celebrated annually on 1 July, Yamaha Day recognises the founding of Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. and encourages employees, dealers and partners worldwide to contribute to their local communities through initiatives such as the Rotoroa Island project.
