Yamaha Brings New Products to Hutchwilco NZ Boat Show

Yamaha will have a strong presence at this year's Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show (May 14-17), with several new products making their local debut.

YAM

Leading the lineup is the YAM inflatable range, a series of compact craft spanning 2-4m. Designed for easy packability and quick assembly, the range covers everything from lightweight tenders to more substantial leisure boats, each coming complete with paddles, pump and carry bag.

Torqeedo

Also on show will be Torqeedo electric outboards, now part of the Yamaha family following the brand’s acquisition in 2024. Torqeedo offers one of the broadest electric propulsion ranges on the market, from ultra-portable units suited to kayaks and tenders through to higher-powered systems for larger vessels, all built around lithium-ion battery technology with integrated digital controls.

F450 XTO Offshore

Rounding out the display is the F450 XTO Offshore, Yamaha’s flagship outboard. The 5.6-litre V8 four-stroke puts out 450hp via direct fuel injection, and the engine’s Phase Angle Control charging system generates up to 96 net amps, enough to run onboard electronics without a separate generator.
