GOfuel has opened a new 24-hour diesel refuelling facility at Hobsonville Marina, extending its marine fuel network into Auckland’s upper Waitematā Harbour.
The Hobsonville site supplies Mobil Diesel Efficient and operates around the clock, giving boaties and commercial vessel operators the flexibility to refuel outside standard business hours, whether heading out early for a fishing trip or returning after dark from a longer run. The unmanned facility accepts GOfuel Mobilcard, EFTPOS and credit card. Mobilcard holders receive a 10 cent per litre discount on top of standard pricing, a saving GOfuel positions as particularly relevant for regular users and commercial operators running fuel costs across multiple trips.
GOfuel offers the largest marine fuel network on the water in New Zealand, with sites stretching from Mangonui in the north to Bluff in the south. Hobsonville joins a run of recent additions to that network, including facilities at Tauranga Bridge Marina, a rebuilt site at Bayswater, and new locations at Paihia and Totara North in the Bay of Islands.
Hobsonville Marina, built in the late 1980s, is one of the country’s largest marinas, with berths for around 600 vessels enclosed by rock breakwaters in the upper Waitematā. It sits within the Hobsonville Point precinct and offers 35 tonne and 75 tonne haul-out facilities, positioning it as a practical stop for boaties heading to or from the Hauraki Gulf and its islands.
