The Nautical Group has been appointed the official Azimut Yachts dealer in New Zealand, representing the Italian yacht builder nationwide and supporting clients throughout the ownership journey.

The appointment gives New Zealand buyers a dedicated local connection to Azimut, with The Nautical Group providing guidance from yacht selection through to purchase, delivery and ongoing ownership support.

The announcement follows a strong period for the company, including the sale of two Azimut Grande 27m yachts within weeks of each other this year. One was a new build from Italy and the other a pre-owned 2020 model, giving the brokerage hands-on experience across both the new and pre-owned Azimut markets.

Founded by James Dalzell and Jessie Moller, The Nautical Group was built on experience, transparency and long-term client relationships. Dalzell, Founder, Managing Director and Head Broker, has more than 15 years’ experience in yachting, including time working aboard Azimut yachts.

The team includes specialists with backgrounds in superyacht operations and global yacht builds, offering expertise beyond sales in areas such as itinerary planning, engineering, company structuring and European vessel tax support.

As Azimut’s official dealer, The Nautical Group will provide new yacht sales, after-sales support, warranty services and servicing. A new showroom at 197 Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, will showcase the brand locally, featuring interiors inspired by Azimut’s distinctive Italian design. The Nautical Group will also work closely with clients and Azimut in Italy throughout the purchase, customisation and build process.

“We’re very excited to represent Azimut Yachts in New Zealand and give our clients the opportunity to experience the brand both here and in Italy,” says James Dalzell.

The partnership combines Azimut’s yacht-building heritage with The Nautical Group’s local expertise, providing New Zealand buyers with dedicated support through every stage of ownership.
